The lecture is aimed at the Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS) technique, its theory, applications and related analytical techniques.
1. History of Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS),
2. laser-matter interaction, laser ablation,
3. thermodynamic properties of laser-induced plasma and their estimation,
4. qualitative and quantitative analysis, matrix effect,
5. LIBS instrumentation, its modifications and parameters,
6. LIBS applications, from biology to mining industry,
7. combinations of LIBS with other analytical techniques.
