Entry knowledge
Students should have at least superficial knowledge of work with expressions and elementary functions within the scope of standard secondary school requirements.
Rules for evaluation and completion of the course
For the course-unit credit it is necessary to meet conditions announced by the lecturer responsible for the course at the beginning of each semester. The conditions are specified by a Regulation issued by the lecturer responsible for the course and updated every academic year.
The content and forms of instruction in the evaluated course are specified by a Regulation issued by the lecturer responsible for the course and updated for every academic year.
The content and forms of instruction in the evaluated course are specified by a Regulation issued by the lecturer responsible for the course and updated for every academic year.
Aims
The goal of the course is to supplement secondary school knowledge of mathematics necessary for further studies.
After completing the course, students should be able to:
- transform and simplify expressions;
- solve basic equations and inequalities;
- find the domain and the range of a function;
- differentiate using basic formulas;
- perform calculations with complex numbers;
- work with arithmetic and geometric sequences and infinite series.
