The basic concept of the design of steel structures according to the international documents. Comparison of Czech standards, from the domain of metal structures, with the main foreign standards.
Principles of the calculation, structural design and practical design of chosen types of metal elements and load-bearing structures.

Course curriculum

1. Standards – ČSN, EC, other foreign standards.
2. Composite girders of steel and concrete – designing of through girders.
3. Composite slabs of sheetmetal and concrete – using, structure principles, statical analysis.
4. Composite pillars of steel and concrete loaded by combinations of stress.
5. Composite structures of steel and concrete loaded by stress of fire activity.
6. Fire resistivity of buildings.
7. Kinds and sorting of steel masts.
8. Loads, dynamic component of wind loading.
9. Satical and dynamical analysis of mast.
10. Fatigue strength check of mast.
11. Software for designing and analysing of steel structures.
12. Building of steel structures.
13. Processing, assembly and realization of steel structures.
