CAD in 3D

FAST-6U1Acad. year: 2021/2022

Repeating and enlargement of knowledge of drawing in plane (user defined line types and hatching, managing blocks, floating and tiled viewports).
User coordinate systems in space – setting and working in them.
Using of drawing and modifying commands in space.
3D modelling – faces, solids, composite solids, modifying 3D solids.
Rendering – lights, shadows, materials, scenes, photorealistic displaying.

Course curriculum

1. Basics of computer graphics, raster and vector graphic editors.
2-3. CAD systems, classification, basics of operating. Coordinate systems, coordinates entering, basic drawing commands.
4-5. Advanced drawing commands, text, hatch.
6-8. Drawing entity editing. Advanced commands for objects manipulations.
9-10. Dimensioning. Blocks and layers.
11. Output of drawing. Scaling, periferal devices, limits. Final 2D documentation.
12. 3D modelling — views, perspectives.
13. Introduction into the space modelling of structures.
