Course curriculum

1. Composite steel-concrete structural systems - basic principles of behaviour, loading, material, design standards.
2.-5. Steel-concrete girders - ultimate limit states (basic design principles).
6.-7. Steel-concrete girders - serviceability limit states (basic design principles).
8.-9. Steel-concrete girders - shear connectors (types, basic design principles).
10.-11. Steel-concrete columns - basic design principles.
12. Aplications of steel-concrete structural elements and members in building structures, examples of realized structures.
13. Fire resistance of steel-concrete composite structures.

Aims

The objective of the subject is to introduce students to the problems of this course and to practise acquires knowledge and skills.
