Computer Systems for Projects

FEKT-MKC-PNSAcad. year: 2020/2021

Properties of systems for designing of electrotechnical schemes in relation to creation of printed circuit boards (ORCAD, PADS). Description of the screen in graphic mode. Drawing and editing commands, commands of screen operation. Work with libraries of parts and their editing. Adaptation of user´s adjustment, raster work. Electronic checking of the scheme. Interconnection to systems for creation of printed circuit boards (DPS), interconnection to simulation systems (PSPICE), export of schemes and libraries, description of output files, conversion to other formats. Basic editing and drawing commands of the system for design of printed circuit boards. Description and creation of output files for production of DPS.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

The student is able to:
- Use of advanced tools for working with the scheme, the hierarchical structure of the design and management of properties of components in the design of electrical schematics
- Utilize and manage database systems components for schema design
- Use the OrCAD PSpice simulation environment for easy simulation of electrical circuits
- Create the printed circuit boards (PCB) in OrCAD PCB Editor and PADS Layout using manual, interactive and automatic tools including a detailed set of tools
- Describe the properties of objects for building materials for the production of PCB including drilling plans and programs use environment OrCAD PCB Editor, PADS Layout and a dedicated tool for creating output BluePrint documentation PCB

The student is able to: - Use Software systems Pads and OrCad for schema design and printed circuit boards - Use design rules when designing schema
