Studio IV - Painting 1 - summer

Students focus on the realization part of their BA exam. They search for the most suitable topics and for the way of its creation with respect to its future presentation. At the same time, they submit the project of their MA studies for approval.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Teaching takes place in the form of group and individual consultations of the teacher with the students over the assigned semestral tasks. Teaching includes lectures and workshops on semester (theme) topics provided by external lecturers. During the semester students take part in at least one excursion to foreign museums and galleries. Once every two semesters, a painter's stay (plenary) takes place.

State BA exam.

Course curriculum

An essential part of the work should be the everyday drawing reflection of various visual and mental stimuli - everydayness, meeting things, situations, social tensions. Drawing as a record and revelation of the essence of various phenomenons, artistic principles (such as composition etc).

Aims

Learning to use one´s own artistic capacity.
Development of individual abilities, application of the language of painting and drawing. Examination of other techniques and procedures and their possible thematisation - specification and realisation of individual intentions.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Lessons are mandatory.
