Original Abstract

A split Hopkinson pressure bar test (SHPBT) system is used to investigate the effects of temperature and strain-rate on dynamic behaviour of tested materials. Effects of temperature for titanium alloy Ti-6Al-4V are investigated by developing an increased temperature SHPBT system. In this work temperatures up to 500 are attained in the tested specimens by using an induction heater. To determine the stress-strain curves, specimens are tested from room temperature to 500 at intervals of 100 grad of Celsius.
