Original Abstract

Dynamic damping can be used for the suppression of vibrations in hydraulic systems. The Helmholtz resonator is a typical application of this dynamic damper. This is presented by a vessel which is parallelly joined to a hydraulic system. Correct frequency tuning is essential for the correct function of such a hydraulic system. The knowledge of frequency modal behavior is important for any frequency tuning. It is suitable to use computational modeling for ist determination, which is supported by experimental knowledge.
