Original Abstract

In our study, we were focused on Rhodospirillum rubrum (DSM 467) revealing substantial metabolic versatility and adaptibility. Because of PHA production by this bacterium with remarkable versatility in metabolic strategies in the context of the biological importances of PHA under various metabolic conditions, we focused on the fundamental characterization of PHA granulesin cells and its involvement in biophysical and biochemical properties of these cells by several microscopic techniques such as FLIM, TEM, cryo-SEM and AFM.
