Original Abstract

In the recent years, distributed generation modules are penetrating into the low voltage and medium voltage distribution system. In medium voltage systems, however, the more emphasis is on the coordination of voltage control due to the impact to the low voltage systems, and reactive power over distribution transformer due to the impact to high voltage systems. Throughout the paper, the mechanisms of the coordination are described in detail and examples of reactive power dispatch algorithms reveal the potential of reactive power delivery to high voltage system as a consequence of the reactive power sharing between individual generating modules.
