Original Abstract

We are the first to show the detailed structure of the unveiled crystals of the freeze concentrated NaCl solution. ESEM equipped with latest technological innovations, including 2nd generation of hydration system, can be used not only for the monitoring of the ice surface, but also for observation of the 3D structure of the frozen FCS between the crystals of hexagonal ice without any conducting coating. Therefore, it enables us to compare the inner structures of the grain boundaries of samples frozen at different conditions.
