V roce 2019 uplynulo 120 let od vzniku C. k. české vysoké školy technické v Brně, jejíž nynější název je Vysoké učení technické v Brně (VUT). Historii elektroenergetiky na VUT je třeba chápat v kontextu vzniku VUT a oboru elektro- techniky na VUT. Jedná se tedy o historii delší než stoletou, která nemůže být popsána jen pomocí subjektivních vzpomínek žijících pamětníků. Většina historických údajů ze starší doby byla proto převzata z literatury.

English abstract

In 2019, 120 years have passed since the establishment of the C. k. Czech Technical University in Brno, whose present name is the Brno University of Technology (BUT). The history of electrical power engineering at BUT should be understood in the context of the emergence of BUT and the field of electrical engineering at BUT. It is therefore a history longer than a hundred years, which cannot be described only by the subjective memories of living witnesses. Most historical data from earlier times were therefore taken from literature.
