Original Abstract

Ultrasonic wave propagation simulation serves in this paper as a conceptual approach to nondestructive testing of inherent material properties. The suggested method attempts to identify possible defects and to reduce the uncertainty of the system and thus contribute to the safety. The nontraditional Cellular Automata computational scheme was adopted for both the wave propagation solution and pattern processing. © 2011 Simulation Councils, Inc.
