Original Abstract

Large amounts of hydraulic equipment, especially pumps, operate within energy systems. Therefore it is necessary to explore new ways in their design and technology to meet the requirements of high performance as well as the wide range of use of hydraulic machines. One option to reduce the hydraulic losses of not only the hydraulic elements, but also the piping systems is the adjustment of the hydraulically active elements. The investigation of the characteristics of hydrophobic surfaces was completed with experimental results.
