Original Abstract

The paper is focused on life cycle costing in the specific construction project and its related investment decision. It provides a possible process for formation of life cycle cost analysis using the example of the comparison of two different window technologies. The result of mentioned sample shows that plastic windows in comparison with wooden windows are not only cost-effective in relation to initial cost, but also in relation to comprehensive long-term cost represented by life cycle cost approach. But the sensitivity analysis in this sample shows how important an accurate data setting and processing is. Results of any life cycle cost analysis are necessary to interpret properly including their sensitivity to any deviations from the plan.
