Original Abstract

In the recent period several research projects focused on design, developing and full-scale testing of steel temporary bridges were realized on the authors workplace, Institute of Metal and Timber Structures, especially in cooperation with AdMaS Research Centre, Vladimír Fišer company and Technology Agency of the Czech Republic. As one of the examples it can be mentioned the realization of the full-scale testing of temporary railway bridge of 18.0 m span, which belongs to so called ŽBM 30 system (developed and designed as an army temporary bridge with welded web-plate main girders). However, this paper brings some information about performed loading tests in case of developing of new type of temporary steel truss footbridge for pedestrian and cyclists usable for span up to 36.0 m.
