Original Abstract

Canadians love watching hockey, both nationally and internationally. At home, the start of every NHL season is looked upon with anticipation by Canadians as they hope that their favourite NHL team wins the coveted Stanley Cup at the end of every season. But who do Canadians root for and what influences their choices? In a continuation of an earlier study on this subject, this paper examines in closer detail Canadian attitudes toward their favourite team, especially in the Stanley Cup Finals.
