Original Abstract

This article describes principles of present frequency domain reflectometry (FDR) methods and time domain refectometry (TDR) methods, which are compared, advantages or disadvantages are discussed. Experimental part of the article deals with locating of cable failures using TDR techniques, which are compared to the PSpice or Microcap simulations.
