Original Abstract
Fibre-concrete structures have many advantages in comparison with standard reinforced concrete ones, namely higher both total and tensile strengths. However, fibres are often incorrectly distributed in structure during the manufacturing process. Wires are often clustered, which reduces the overall homogeneity, as well as the quality of fibre-concrete structures. The aim of the research team from two technical universities in the Czech Republic was to develop an objective method for the control of homogeneity (and isotropy) of fibre distribution in fibre-reinforced concrete structures.
