Abstract

First-stage bootloader is designed for loading an application program or operation system for processors in FPGA devices (e.g. Xilinx MicroBlaze) from SD, SDHC and SDXC cards. It uses simple SPI mode for communication with memory card. It is integrated to the Xilinx SDK. Optionally it supports FAT16 or FAT32 filesystem, cryptography using XXTEA cipher and memory testing. It is also possible to store bootloader to the 15556B LMB BRAM in case of minimal configuration (no debug info).
