Tenzometrický měřicí systém vznikl pro účel dlouhodobého průběžného sledování železničního mostu Gagarin km 5,872 trati Český Těšín - Ostrava Kunčice, který byl v rámci rekonstrukce zesílen, přičemž účinnost zesílení je průběžně dlouhodobě monitorována. Tenzometrický měřicí systém je tvořen soustavou 36 strunových tenzometrů zabudováných do dvou mostních polí. Tenzometry jsou osazeny na povrch původních betonových nosníků a do betonu nového spřaženého železobetonového koryta. Pomocí měřící ústředny, osazené na konstrukci mostu, s dálkovým přenosem dat prostřednictvím sítě GSM, jsou průběžně měřeny a zaznamenávány hodnoty změn přetvoření a teplotní údaje. V uživatelsky nastavených intervalech jsou naměřené hodnoty dálkově přenášeny do laboratoře k vyhodnocení.

Strain-gauge system was created for the purpose of long-term continuous monitoring of railway prestressed bridge "Gagarin" located at km 5.872 of the line Český Těšín - Ostrava Kunčice. The original prestressed bridge structure was reinforced and effect of reinforcement has been continuously evaluated by strain gauge monitoring systems for measuring the deformations. Strain-gauge system, which consisted of a set of 36 strain gauges for continuous measurements of deformation and temperature. Strain gauges were built in to increase the reliability of the data obtained in two spans of the bridge. Strain gauges were installed on the surface of the original concrete beams and also into the concrete of the new reinforced concrete gravel bed. After putting the bridge into operation it will continue to serve for several years monitoring the behavior of reinforced structures in operation. The data from strain gauges are continuously recorded and transmitted to the laboratory for evaluation using the measuring panel with remote data transmission via GSM.
