Original Abstract

The AZ91 alloy is made upof dendrites of the solid solution of aluminium in magnesium, discontinous precipitate of tzpe delta - gama and delta - gama eutectic. One of the significant phenomena in the structure of Mg-Al-Zn alloys is occurrence of the Al12Mg17 phase in the interdendritic spacing of the solid solution matrix.
