Náklady kapitálu a volba kapitálové struktury závisejí mimo jiné na fázi životního cyklu podniku, přičemž musejí být zohledněny rychlost růstu či poklesu, velikost podniku, kapitálová náročnost podnikání, pozice na trhu a tržní podmínky. Právě tyto faktory budou v disertační práci dány do souvislostí s náklady kapitálu a kapitálovou strukturou. K získání nových poznatků bude proveden kvantitativní výzkum mezi českými firmami, který bude postaven na sekundárních datech. Analýze budou podrobeny malé a střední firmy v různých fázích životního cyklu a z několika odvětví ekonomiky.

Cost of capital and decision about capital structure depend among others on the phase of the life cycle of the company, whereas it must be considered the growth or fall rate, size of the company, capital intensity of entrepreneurship, firms position on the market and market conditions. Especially these factors will be put into connections with cost of capital and capital structure in the dissertation thesis. The new pieces of knowledge will be found out after the quantitative research, which will be implemented among czech firms and which will be based on the secondary data. To the analysis will be chosen small- and medium-size companies in different phases of their life cycle and from several sectors of economy.
