Original Abstract

If an influence of a single factor on Poisson distributed variables is examined, the generalized linear model can be applied. In this paper the power of the test based on the deviances of corresponding basic model and its submodel is investigated. The asymptotic power of the test based on an approximation of considered test statistic is derived. Afterwards an approximation of this power function is compared with simulated power of the test based on the deviance. Simulated significance level is presented as well. In addition an example of application is included.
