Original Abstract

There are new global circumstances and changes for society. Projects are facing two main challenges – increase of remote collaboration and disruption of supply chains. These aspects influence projects as well as other areas. The purpose of the article is to check how the traditional standards of project management react to the situation and thus deduce how flexibly they can respond to such global changes in general. The analysis is based on the synchronous comparative method of three leading project management standards such as ICB, PMBOK and PRINCE2. The ability of the standards is primarily assessed according to the topicality of their guidebooks, events and other supplementary materials. The comparative analysis shows that each standard approaches the global changes in a different way and urgency – from no significant measures to publication of a new version of the guidebooks.
