Original Abstract

Architektura, jakožto uměle budované životní prostředí je rovněž součástí výzvy o zachování života a jeho rozmanitosti. Fenomenologové varují před ztrátou místa a jeho charakterů a ztrátou schopnosti uživatelů významuplně obývat prostředí. Christopher Alexander a jeho pojetí "života" jako tvořivého řádu nabízí teorii architektury, praktickou metodologii a kosmologii, v rámci které lze překonat omezené vidění světa jako mechanismu a začít chápat svět v jeho geometrii souvztažnosti, ve kterém části nikdy nejsou odděleny od celku.

English abstract

Architecture as an artificial environment is concerned with the crisis of natural environment and its biodiversity. Phenomenological approach to architecture reveals consequences of modern industrial thinking and draws attention to loss of meaningful places. Christopher Alexander and his concept of "life" as creative order offers us a design theory and cosmology which enables to overcome a limited worldview based on mechanistic paradigm of isolated object and begin to comprehend the world in its wholeness where everything is inherently interconnected.
