Original Abstract

Existuje řada faktorů a kritérií pro rozhodování o způsobu odstranění, úpravy, či využití čistírenského kalu (ČK). Vzhledem k novým legislativním omezením v některých zemích EU je jedním z trendů energetické využití ČK. Energetický potenciál ČK se skrývá hlavně v chemické energii v něm obsažených organických látek schopných oxidace. Díky tomu je také kalové hospodářství jedinou technologickou částí čistírny odpadních vod (ČOV), která dokáže produkovat energii.

English abstract

The submitted paper deals with the energetic utilization of sewage sludge focusing on its thermal processing. Therefore, the part of the content is an indicative comparison of the caloric values of various sludge samples prepared by different preparation ways for the next steps of its reuse by thermal methods, which may include pyrolysis and/or torrefaction, combustion etc. Thus an unavoidable part of the article is an overview of specific terms such as biochar, solid alternative fuel and others.
