Švýcarská konfederace – obdivuhodný alpský stát Helvetského kříže – je proslulá řadou svých produktů. Vedle hodinek, sýrů, čokolády a turismu jsou to i tunely. S ohledem na mimořádnou členitost území jsou Švýcaři nuceni od pradávna budovat na svých komunikacích liniové podzemní stavby – tunely. S patřičnou hrdostí je také prezentují i na starých i docela nových pohlednicích. V tomto dílu seriálu jsou představeny některé poměrně málo známé švýcarské tunely. A to převážně silniční počítaje v to i dva železniční.

English abstract

The Swiss confederation – an admirable Alpine state of the Helvetic Cross – is renowned for lots of its products. Apart from watches, cheeses, chocolate and tourism, tunnels are also among them. With respect to the exceptional rugged topography, the Swiss have been forced since ancient times to develop linear underground structures – tunnels – on their roads. They also present them with due pride in old as well as completely new picture postcards. This part of the series introduces some relatively little known Swiss tunnels, mostly road tunnels, with two railway tunnels added to them.
