Abstract

A simulation software package for prediction of solid-fuel combustion and release of ash particles for the purpose of modelling of heat transfer surface fouling in grate-fired furnaces. The package includes a dedicated simulation tool with graphical user interface, which can be used as a standalone application for in-bed modelling, and a console software to be coupled with an external CFD application for a complete simulation of combustion and heat transfer fouling in the freeboard of grate-fired furnaces.
