Original Abstract

The phenomenon of understanding is often regarded as a crucial topic in teaching of mathematics. New methods in mathematics instruction should positively contribute to the level of understanding. Regrettably not all up-to date innovative teaching trends meet this objective. The paper points out some negative impacts and gives concrete practical instances to abate them.
