Abstract

A simulation software package for prediction of solid fuel combustion in grate-fired furnaces. The package includes dedicaed simulation tool for numerical solution of differential equations governing heat and mass transfer in a solid fuel bed and a library of related user-defined functions for coupling the software with ANSYS Fluent for the freeboard simulation of combustion in a grate boiler.
