Original Abstract

Magnesium and its alloy also have many undesirable characteristic. Among the most dominant is a vary small corrosion resistance, and therefore it is necessary to treat these alloys by coating that would protect them for it. The fluoride conversion coatings promised improve corrosion resistance, that are currently produced conventionally, for example by dipping magnesium or its alloys in the hydrofluoric acid. The aim of this work is preparation of a corrosion resistance layer on AZ31, AZ61 and AZ91. It is fluoride conversion coating which is prepared in melt of sodium tetrafluoroborate.
