Original Abstract

The paper deals with a mathematical model used for a description of a long-term arterial pressure control. The mathematical model includes fluid balance factors, the role of the heart itself, the mechanism of a local vascular control, and the function of the circulatory reflexes. In the model not only immediate baroreceptors action but also long-term adaptation is incorporated. The properties of the model are evaluated and compared to results of experiments in animal, particularly in case of a reduced renal and cardiac performance [3, 4, 7]. Systematic study of all the aspects of the cardiovascular system has contributed to an improvement in understanding cardiovascular control necessary for making better cardiovascular diagnosis, and therapy, respectively.
