Original Abstract

Based on the research works carried out at the Faculty of Civil Engineering of Brno University of Technology development of hight temperature resistant cement composites made with lightweight aggregates has been conducted. The quality of these materials with respect to their high temperature behaviour (temperature resistance and durability) determined using several test methods, which elucidate the behavior of the structure matrix at given thermal loads. These are grounding methods: determination of the thermal conductivity (hot wire method), determination of microstructure, determination of the mechanical properties, determination of absorption and determination of permeability. The results of these measurements are also useful for characterizing the structure and performance of the developed composites.
