On the project
Barium ferrite nanoparticles will be utilized as multifunctional nanorobots in this project. With the intrinsic presence of radiopaque features, the nanorobots can be tracked in real time with X-ray based imaging modalities, while the magnetic features enable the guidence to target areas under the influence of external rotating magnetic fields. Therefore, the outcomes of this project can provide a versatile platform having competence for non-invasive operations in the body, such as targeted thrombolysis.
