On the project

Breast cancer is a major death cause among cancer types. A phosphatase nanozyme-aptamer integrated system will be built to use in electrochemical determination of HER2, which is a breast cancer biomarker. To this end, nanozymes will be synthesized and modified with HER2 specific aptamer. Electrochemical signal will be produced in presence of HER2 because of the hybridization of aptamer with HER2. The morphology of synthesized nanozyme and aptamer length and sequence will be optimized to reach a high sensitivity in detection of HER2.
