Open Access publishing with Springer Nature

Tokens can only be used for journals in the Q1 and Q2 quartile of the JCR database subject rating according to AIS metrics.

The Brno University of Technology subscribes to journals from Springer, so correspondence authors can use free publication of a limited number of articles (using tokens) in Open Access
Eligible journals: hybrid titles
Publication type: article, review, research article, review article, original article
Process: when an article is submitted, the author's eligibility is recognized based on the selected BUT affiliation, email domain, or IP address. The author can then decide whether he/she wants to publish the article in OA mode or choose the option No, I want to publish my article without open access. Then you must confirm by selecting Submit for approval and signing the License to Publish. The request is then forwarded to the Central Library, which will evaluate the formal conditions (article type, journal quartile) and approve the article if necessary. Upon acceptance, the author has the option of paying a publication fee or publishing the article classically (without OA).
