How do I install a Word add-in?

Insert your saved citations from the manager directly as you write in Microsoft Word and then have the reference list generated in your work. You can choose from many citation styles, including the new ISO 690:2022 standard.

Get the add-in for Microsoft Word

Installation instructions:

  1. Get the add-in from the Microsoft Store.
  2. Launch Word and log in to the add-in by entering the code available after logging in at https://www.citacepro.com/nastroje.

It supports Windows 10, 11 and macOS operating systems.
Runs in both Microsoft Word 2021 and Microsoft 365 (online and deskop).
The add-in can also run in Microsoft Word 2016 and 2019, as long as it is not the multi-license version 1808.

It does not support other systems (e.g. Windows 7, Ubuntu) or text editors (e.g. Open Office, Google Docs). Word for iPad is also not yet supported.

MS Word Add-in - previous versions (Windows only)

Insert in-text citations directly in Microsoft Word and have a reference list generated in your work. You can also cite as footnotes or choose from many other citation styles.

Download the add-in for Office 32 bit or Office 64 bit

  1. Follow the instructions to uninstall the previous version of the add-in (if you have one).
  2. Download add-in version 4.0.5 for Office 32 bit or Office 64 bit and install. How do I know which version of Office I am using?
    Windows 10 OS support while in MS Word versions 2013, 2016, 2019 and Office 365. Other systems (e.g. Windows 7, xOS, Ubuntu) and text editors (e.g. Open Office) are not supported.
  3. Launch MS Word and log in by entering the code: available by logging in at https://www.citacepro.com/nastroje.
