Is responsible for the administration and operation of the entire IT infrastructure under the managed CVIS. Cooperates with the Department of Cyber Security on the implementation of security policies in the BUT infrastructure.

The department is divided into three departments: the Server Management Department, the Friday Network Department and the KolejNet Department.

Server Management Department
Ensures the management of servers, disk arrays and other technical equipment of the infrastructure. Performs monitoring and backup, management of virtual infrastructure, management and integration of cloud services into the BUT environment. Provides BUT telecommunication services, management of server operating systems and server applications, management of authentication and authorization infrastructures, management of license servers and operation of data halls.

Backbone Department
Ensures the coordination of the implementation of computer networks and the construction of cable routes. It operates the BUT backbone computer network and the BUT Wi-Fi access gateway. It ensures the authentication infrastructure of the eduroam network and its integration into the national structure of CESNET, the operation of the CSIRT BUT security team responsible for solving incidents arising within BUT computer networks, including cooperation with other CSIRT teams at the national and international level.

Department of KolejNet
It ensures the administration and development of thestudent computer network KolejNet.
