Open Days at BUT: Come and get to know Brno University of Technology up close!

Are you planning to apply to university? Thinking about studying at Brno University of Technology and want to get to know it better? Come visit the Open Days and experience the atmosphere of a modern technical university for yourself.

Brno University of Technology consists of eight faculties and three university institutes offering a wide range of study fields – from mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and computer science, to civil engineering and architecture, as well as chemistry, fine arts, business, or even sports technologies. Open Days are therefore a great opportunity to explore each faculty and find out what possibilities they offer.

In addition to information about study programs and admission procedures, applicants will gain insight into the university’s research activities, student projects, and clubs. They can take tours of classrooms, laboratories, or studios, and meet current students and lecturers in person, giving them the chance to ask anything they want to know about studying at Brno University of Technology.

Open Day dates at BUT faculties and institutes:

• Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication – November 28, 2025; January 23, and February 13, 2026
• Faculty of Mechanical Engineering – December 5, 2025, and January 23, 2026
• Faculty of Chemistry – December 11, 2025, and February 12, 2026
• Faculty of Business and Management – December 12, 2025, and February 5, 2026
• Faculty of Information Technology – December 15, 2025, and January 30, 2026
• Faculty of Civil Engineering – January 16–17, 2026
• Centre of Sports Activities – January 22 and March 5, 2026
• Faculty of Fine Arts – January 24–25 and June 6–7, 2026
• Institute of Forensic Engineering – February 20, 2026

Applications for all study programs are officially open from November 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026. The only exceptions are art-oriented faculties, which have shorter application deadlines due to entrance talent exams – specifically, the Faculty of Fine Arts (until November 30, 2025), Building Architecture at the Faculty of Civil Engineering (until January 2, 2026), and the Faculty of Architecture (until January 18, 2026).
