Podcast VUT's up?: With Iveta Šimberová on travel, marketing, and opening up new opportunities

Today’s guest is Iveta Šimberová, Vice-Rector for Internationalization and External Relations at BUT, whose agenda includes international relations, university alliances, as well as branding and university marketing. She explained why it is important to keep up with foreign universities and why it is beneficial for BUT to be part of university associations. She revealed how rectorate marketing works, what experience she gained at the Faculty of Business and Management, how she remembers her native Slovakia, and what she never forgets to pack in her suitcase when traveling.

“I am proud that the concept of multidisciplinarity is truly beginning to awaken at BUT and that we are all starting to realize more where our strengths lie. Although we are a technical university, we see technology in connection with art, and I dare say also in connection with business and management approaches. That’s who we are, and if we can recognize and harness this synergy, we will stand out even more in the international environment,” said Vice-Rector Šimberová.
