Artificial intelligence today permeates all areas of human activity – from industry and transport, through healthcare, to education. Brno University of Technology has long been among the leading Czech institutions pushing the boundaries of knowledge in this field. Now it is launching a new project – the AI@BUT portal – which connects all AI-related activities across the university.

A place where research, innovation, and inspiration meet. AI@BUT is more than just a website – it is a living ecosystem created as a shared space for exchanging knowledge, research results, projects, and inspiration among faculties, research groups, and students.

The portal offers in one place:

• an overview of research teams and projects focused on AI,

• information on current events, workshops, and challenges,

• opportunities to join interfaculty and interdisciplinary collaborations,

• and in the future also access to learning materials, open datasets, and tools developed at BUT.

One university, many faces of artificial intelligence

The creation of the portal stems from a desire to unite efforts and showcase the breadth of AI-related activities taking place at BUT – from theoretical research on neural networks, through applications in industrial automation, to projects addressing ethics and the social impact of AI. The AI@BUT portal makes it easy to discover collaboration opportunities not only for academics and students, but also for industry partners.

The launch of AI@BUT marks the creation of a central information gateway into the world of artificial intelligence at Brno University of Technology. The portal is open to everyone who wants to take a look behind the scenes of AI research, connect their projects, or find new collaborators.
