Originální abstrakt

The paper deals with an analysis of temperature rise on terminals of a low voltage circuit breaker. The temperature rise is caused by thermal losses on the current path including contact resistances. The contact resistance is less than a compressive force due to higher tightening torque on a terminal and a bus. Thermal losses are computed using finite element method (FEM). The first part of the paper is focused on a dependency of the temperature rise on the screw connection of the circuit breaker. The last part deals with the screw connection and its completion by a nut keeper and influence of the latter on the temperature rise of the circuit breaker. The nut keeper is a plastic box fixing a nut of screw connection on the terminals.
