Various devices, for example electrometers, can be connected to the Internet by means of the communication unit. Thanks to the communication unit, remote acquisition of power consumption data is enabled. This article focuses on the design of the communication unit for remote data acquisition. The article also deals with the design and implementation of the authentication, secure data transmission, and transmission block integrity. Finally describes the system for testing robustness of the communication unit.
