Originální abstrakt

Crankwebs significantly affect crankshaft's torsional and bending stiffness, and eigenfrequencies, and thus they are to a certain extent decisive for the resulting values of fatigue safety factor. However, shape optimization of crankwebs does not adversely affect the design of the main mounting dimensions of cranktrain, i.e. the position of crankpins or conrod pins. Optimizing of the crankwebs is determined by a number of conflicting requirements: high stiffness, low weight, low production cost. This article presents different shapes resulting in the dominance of individual requirements and also describes specific proposal of crankwebs for a two-stroke compression-ignition engine with contra-running pistons. Each proposal is evaluated by using a fatigue safety factor, which is calculated in two different ways.
