Paper deals with luminaries description problems, especially by photometric data in electronic exchange format, such as Eulumdat, and describes problems, which this formats and data mean in a practice. The most often used format Eulumdat, but photometric data in general, are frequently incorrectly applied and it leads to inaccurate interpretations of any attributes, for instance efficacy of luminary. It can cause even a mistake in a lighting system design and lower, or contrariwise higher, dimension of lighting level can be applied as should be, with related energetic consumption.
