Anglický abstrakt

The intention of the Society of Slovak Architects to organize regular conferences addressing topics of current importance helped to start a discussion of "Change of Functions" in architecture and space (physical and regional) planning. Is it possible to develop new buildings in a way that they are capable of later transformations? Is it reasonable and cost-efficient to transform old buildings to serve new purposes? To do that, to find answers, to draw our attention to the issue and understand how serious it is - this is the purpose of this meeting. It has been discussed some of these problems at this conference.
