The book presents a concise history of the erection of the exhibition housing estate of the Czechoslovak Werkbund in Prague - Baba, build between 1932-1936, illustrates realized houses and fates of their inhabitants. The book includes works of Josef Gočár, Pavel Janák, Ladislav Žák, Oldřich Starý , Hana Kučerová - Záveská, Eugen Linhart, Antonín Heythum, Vojtěch Krehart, František Kerhart, František Zelenka, brothers Jaroslav and Karel Fišer etc.The book also explains the history of the Czechoslovak Werkbund from the foundation in winter 1913-1914 till the liquidation by Communist régime in december 1948.
