The paper is devoted to suggestion of the method for the vibration analysis in gravel ballast of railway line. A specially developed vibration sensor - measuring stone was used for analysis. Measurement stone relatively simply allows to research vibration in gravel ballast of rail tracks. The paper includes an introduction to the topic, a description of the measurement stone device, an analysis of the measuring methodology and evaluation. The conclusion includes evaluation and recommendations for further research and operational measurements.
